I always use flowers in my work. I don’t really know why. I’m not a particularly sweet person and I don’t see flowers poetically. As most people I love their colors and their textures but I see them as a material. To their colors and textures I wanted to add something else to the arrangements  - cardboard, paper, steel wire, wood, aiming for a balance between the flowers and the other materials. No one material is more important than another. I’m not considering the Floral Arrangements as photo works. I’m interested in the sculptural aspect. Ultimately I could say that I became interested in flowers because they are nothing. It’s just a moment. Flowers appear in a larger process. They are a part of something wider. Flowers are a moment. Using flowers is like referencing some frames of a long feature movie. It doesn’t say much of the movie and we stay at the surface of things. But I like the idea of building sculptures on something brief and fragile.
